FOR SALE, from my step daughter's father's estate is a 1938 Epiphone Zenith Acoustic Guitar. Serial number 12839 denotes the year 1938. Guitar is is decent condition. First, a little history on the guitar. This guitar has been sitting in a house for many years, UNPLAYED. My step daughter's grandfather was the original owner, and played it 30 years ago. It was handed down to his son, who did not play it. He passed away and it was handed down to his daughter, who does not play. Therefore it is for sale! The neck is remarkably straight with little fret wear. The action is a little high for my taste. A renowned guitar repair shop in Portland reccomends a neck reset to bring the action down. Due to their professional opinion we have relisted this guitar and lowered the price from $600 to $450 to accomadate someone taking on this expense. However this guitar would make a killer slide guitar with no adjustments. There are no cracks in the wood and is structurally sound. The white plastic binding that surrounds the guitar body is dis colered and cracked in a few places. I have installed new strings and they have stayed in tune. One of the original tuners has been replaced with a similar tuner, however a different color. 5 tuners are original, worth $100 or more each to some collectors according to my sources. The case is original from that era and worth about $100 or more to some buyers. The case is very popular because it also fits certain other vintage guitars such as Martin, etc. This is a VINTAGE guitar. I am happy to send more pics by request. We are entertaining bids of $425.00 and up. Sorry no trades, cash only, please. Please do not call if you are not offering at least $425.00, cash. Serious inquires only, please. Call Will at 503-882-6199 or 503-319-8882 cell for faster service and an appointment. Due to my job, I only check email once a day. Thanks for looking.
