The guy I got it from said he got it in 1955 and it looks older than that. I tried to find the model online but none are like this. It has Kay on the top but no numbers anywhere. Both knobs turn but I cant test to see if it works. It has a case and 2 sets of strings. It believe it could be cleaned up and would be a fine guitar. The prices I found for kays are from $20 to $1250 and I can't find any exactly like this. Im asking $300 or best offer.

Wayne's World Strat - MIJ - in Indianapolis IN for $340

Here is a nice Wayne's World Strat - these were all made in 1992 in japan - any other versions will de designated as WW2 - have one of these as well and it has a sweet neck and is an all around excellent player - the upgraded pickyups will be a big improvement - along with the tuners they are the only real downside to this guitar so I'd recommend buyi8ng it with the upgrades and just keeping the original pickups for future collector value.   These are nice solid Strats - basically a MIJ 62 reissue with a few minor concesions.

MIJ Squier Stratocaster, 60s Reissue, Wayne's World Model. Upgraded with two American Standard pickups in the neck/middle positions (reverse wound in middle position for hum cancelling in positions 2 and 4). Texas special pickup in the bridge. Original pickups included. This guitar is all 60s reissue specs--olympic white body, 21 fret thin 7.25 radius neck, vintage style tremolo unit and split post tuners (sealed die cast type--not Kluson style; this is my only beef with this guitar). The pickups make this guitar, but I will sell it without the upgraded pickups for $280 firm. Guitar neck is in great shape; body has only a few minor dings in the paint. Solid neck joint--this is a great guitar.

Fernandes Vertigo Deluxe MIJ guitar in Phoenix for $325

I don't often highlight Heavy Metal guitars in this blog but these Fernandes Vertigo Deluxe models have an excellent reputation and this one is selling fairly cheap in Phoenix AZ.   This is the Set neck MIJ high end version with the SD high output humbuckers - serious hard rock or metal type guitar. The Fernandes factory in Japan has a great rep and these are popular "with the kids."  I also personally think the shape is terrific.

This is a heck of a lot of 2 x 12 tube amp for only $250. I've seen and heard these used as gigging amps several times - replacing the speakers and one or two of the preamp tubes makes a huge bnoticeable improvement in tone as well.

50 watt all-tube combo amplifier from mid '90s. Two channels (clean and gain), both with individual reverb controls. Two 12" speakers. Footswitch included.

This is a nice workhorse amp. Heavy and solidly built in the USA. It has been gigged on, so the tolex has some wear and tear, but nothing horrible. Can get plenty loud--would be good for blues, rock or even punk. Probably could handle just about any style except metal. Decent headroom, and the overdrive channel warms up nicely.

There has been some minor repair work done to the circuit board, but everything works fine (just want to be up front).

This one is about half the price of a new imported Marquis - I like these better than the Burns RI Cobra which is basically just a Strat Copy - this one looks like a Burns Bison. And it is dark green which is the same color s Elvis' famous Burns 6+6. Niiiice.

Harmony H303B Tube amp project in Northridge CA for $30

This is one of those "widowmaker" amps with no output ransformer - but they can still sound pretty cool. Uses 50C5 output tube 12AU6 and 35W4 rectifier tube.

This one obviously needs a complete cap job - but that should be less than $50 (or do it yourself) The Jensen 8 inch is a nice plus though it also needs repair.

Magnatone Estey Model 432 Starlite w True Vibrato in Portland for $400

These little 432 are extremely cool Magnatones - they have BOTH the Pitch Shifting Vibrato and tube Tremolo circuit - and they have Tube Reverb - all into a 12 inch speaker in a nice compact 20 x 22 x 10 inch package. What's not to love?! Oh, well they do use a slightly rare ELL80 power tube (about 12 watts) but the tubes last a long time in these babies. Magnatones are extrenmely well built amps. This amp cost $200 bucks brand new back in 1966!

I have a really cool and unique sounding '60s Estey Magnatone amp. Single 12" Speaker. It is all in good shape, I had it gone over and the power plug replaced with a grounded one by Brian Sours. Being a '60s tube amp it's not the quietest amp in the world, but it's what you'd expect. The reverb, trem and vibrato all work, and I believe the footswitch outs work as well, but I don't have a footswitch to try them. The three inputs all provide their own cool character, and allow you to go from a clean vibrato spaghetti western tone all the way to way loud raunchy overdrive. It is about 12 watts, and I would say in the same power range as a Blues Junior. Let me know if you want to try it out.
